Curatorial Narrative As we place “The Saturday Evening Post” from November 24, 1906 by Edward Penfield within its historical context, we find ourselves at the cusp of Art Nouveau’s ascent in America. Created in 1906, this work embodies the era’s penchant for sinuous lines and organic forms, as seen in the fluid curves of the central figure.
